It’s important to let the Trustee know your wishes about the payment of any money from the Fund.
If you die before retirement and have benefits in the Fund, the Trustee will need to make a decision about who those benefits should be paid to. If you haven’t taken your pension yet, you can let the Trustee know who you would like to receive your benefits by filling out a nomination form, available from Aptia.
Remember to keep your wishes updated if your circumstances change – otherwise your ex may indeed get your pension!
