You will have seen in the Spring 2024 Pensions Focus newsletter that on 1 January 2024, Aptia UK Limited acquired Mercer’s UK pensions administration business, which means that the benefits you hold within the Fund are now taken care of by Aptia instead of Mercer. The newsletter also noted that we are in the process of moving United’s payroll service over to Aptia. You can view the newsletter on this website, under Documents.
From 1 November 2024, Aptia will become the payroll administrator to the Fund. The move will not affect payment amounts, dates or frequencies but will combine all scheme administration in Aptia’s administrative centre. No action is required from you as this will all happen automatically.
The first payment you will receive from Aptia is due on 1 November. You will receive a pension payslip with your first payment, which will provide you with your tax code and tax office reference number. Thereafter, a pension payslip will be sent to you if your net pension varies by 99p or more in any pay period.
Aptia are responsible for the maintenance of your personal details and all queries relating to your pension.
Should you need to change your address or banking details, please let us know as soon as possible. When contacting Aptia, you will need to provide certain personal details (e.g. National Insurance number, date of birth or home address) to verify your identity for security and data protection purposes.
Tax-related queries should be directed to HMRC.
The Trustees have also been liaising with Aptia to provide you with access to Oneview. Oneview is a secure website run by Aptia which will let you see online information about your pension payments and the Fund. Access to Oneview will be provided later in the year, at which point you will be provided with details of your user ID and a passcode to enable you to access the website.
